It is kinda sad that this doesn't do all that much tho, it's just the basics, it takes away for app the basic priviledge to access your contacts and messages and so on and stops Google and Samsung to be too invasive yeah, but sadly spyware is baked in everywhere in Android. (iOS too of course). Also sadly all of those changes they turned off in this video hinder a functionality of some apps. Google history for example lets them learn about your routines and give you heads up on the buses when you are standing at a station and so on. I don't use it but many people find it convinient and it's the same story with many more apps. Also many apps just have trackers baked inside them. Like every app that offers login with facebook or twitter or whatever will have tracker of said companies, any app that shows ads in some way too, and there is a lot of trackers. You candownload apps that block these but that runs on your phone as a vpn service that filters the traffic and that eats battery as well. You also have stuff like the service Google offers to app developers like google firebase backend and database for apps, which has spying baked in or google cloud push notification service. Many apps use these and when u use them it means google can track you. There are also some features like the operating system itself triangulating your location at meter precision inside buildings based on the connection from wifi and bt devices around you and stuff. Android by itself is open source but all the other proprietary tools and addons from other companies added are just not safe sadly. And google playing it in a way that the addons they offer for android are so essential that most users can't even imagine using android without them, making android essentialy for all intents and purposes proprietary spyware system. The only way to be actually spyware free is to use a clean degoogled version of android on your phone with no google apps or services and to only install open source apps from something like fdroid. This option is obviously unusable for most normal people tho.

this is missing 1 great way to save battery. Schedule "sleep" focus mode at night. When the sleep focus mode is on, the "always on display" will turn off on the Apple watch (I wear my watch to track sleep). You can also make "low power" mode automatically turn on in sleep focus mode. Personally I don't turn on this low power mode in sleep mode because I want the heart rate censor still work. Also it's not a bad advice to turn all background refresh off if your watch connects to your phone all the time. All notifications are mirrored from the iPhone. So you can still receive & reply all message notifications just fine.

My phone and laptop connected just fine after pressing the reset button on modem rather than fiddle around with a password, even though I changed my WiFi name. It is the tablet only that I'm having problems with.
